Our Story
ThinkCulinary was established in 2014 by Svante Johansson, our President and CEO, with the goal to provide customers the opportunity to purchase high-quality ingredients.
Over the years, ThinkCulinary has provided a space for suppliers of high-quality specialty proteins to break into the Southern California marketplace. Our team has developed close relationships with local distributors and restaurant operators due to our knowledge of the industry and the quality of our products.
In 2018, Santa Monica Seafood partnered with ThinkCulinary to import Cape Grim, a premium grass-fed beef product from Tasmania and we found the recipe for success that continues to impact our business model today. The ability to interact with the right customer base and supply a unique product line changed the game for our business. Now, we are focused on finding products and distributors that align with our beliefs and business model to supply the right product to the right customer.
Today, ThinkCulinary works with twelve fantastic brands from all over the world and many large distribution companies. Our meats can be found in Michelin-rated and five-star restaurants across the nation.
